In April a Robin momma began to make her nest above our front door light fixture. When the rains and winds blew her fixin’s away, we were relieved because I hate to think of us disturbing her and the babes as they nest and grow. But, she insists, and as I walked out the door on Monday to leave for work, the nest had resurrected and she sat on the sidewalk watching me tentatively. I think we’ll manage cohabitation for the duration of gestation and birth. I love the emerging changes and births of Spring.
